About me
My love in life is dogs, this shines through my professional career choices in life. Starting out with animal behaviour, rescue rehabilitation and progressing through teaching in the animal industry, finally I found my passion in dog grooming and I have not looked back.
I am able to offer the City & Guilds qualifications in dog grooming. Wychwood Pet Grooming is proud to be a satellite centre for the Summit Groomer Training Group.
I show Irish Wolfhounds and Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshunds. I also judge a large variety of the hound breeds at dog shows. I am heavily involved in the health of Irish Wolfhounds and I am currently the heart testing coordinator as part of the Irish Wolfhound Health Group. Alongside this I am the current secretary for the Irish Wolfhound Rescue Trust.
I hold the full level 3 Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists as well as being a Certified Professional Groomer as part of the IPG qualification route. I am an IPG member in good standing as part of the ICMG UK group.
Wychwood Pet Grooming prides itself on one to one grooming appointments and is able to cater for cat grooming. Having a background in animal behaviour means that there is also a facility for those dogs who need more specific handling needs during grooming.
