Spotlight Of The Week: Emma Stocker

This week, we are so excited to shine the spotlight on the lovely Emma Stocker, the heart and hands behind Bubbles and Paws Dog Grooming in Crawley, West Sussex!

Emma’s journey into dog grooming is one that truly pulls at the heartstrings. It all began with her beloved Westie, Chalky, who found the grooming process incredibly stressful. Like so many pet owners, Emma just wanted her dog to feel safe and comfortable, and that experience sparked something bigger than she could have imagined.

After losing Chalky, Emma turned that heartbreak into purpose. He became the reason she stepped into the grooming world, with a mission to create a calm, understanding space for dogs who may feel nervous or overwhelmed.

And that is exactly what she has done.

Emma works one to one from her home based salon, offering a completely cage free environment where each dog receives her full, undivided attention. It is quiet, relaxed, and centred entirely around the dog’s comfort, something we absolutely love.

Her approach is simple but powerful. Every dog is treated like her own. That means plenty of cuddles, gentle reassurance, and the occasional treat to help build trust and confidence along the way.

It is clear that Emma understands just how much trust is placed in a groomer. Every dog that walks through her door is handled with patience, kindness, and respect, creating a positive experience not just for the pets, but for their owners too.

We were also lucky enough to see some of Emma’s favourite before and after transformations, and wow, the results speak for themselves. The care, time, and attention she puts into each groom truly shines through.

Emma’s Top Grooming Tip:

Prep is everything. Taking the time to properly bathe, dry and brush the coat sets the whole groom up for success. You simply cannot rush the foundation.
