About me
My grooming salon is situated in the idealic village of Mayfield East Sussex, I offer a bespoke dog grooming service where your dog’s well being and happiness are at the heart of what I do.
I have been infatuated with dogs since I was a small child when I was bought my first dog breed book. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have a dog at home, so I began to walk and look after all the neighbour’s dogs as a way to compensate and fulfill my own aspirations.
I, then, was employed in my first grooming role in Greenwich, London at the age of 17 as an apprentice after leaving school.
Whilst having a family I experienced a break in my grooming career but returned back to dog walking in 2005 and set up a small local business in Tunbridge Wells.
This being a success evolved into grooming the dogs I walked, and as a result of positive customer feedback attracted more grooming clientele.
I, therefore, made the conscious decision in 2014 to return back to college, retrain and undertake my City and Guilds level 2 qualification at Hadlow where I won most promising student at the Inter college south competition. I furthered my education and went on to take my City and Guilds level 3 intro at Gillsman dog grooming and training under Nikki Scott in Hastings. I am now proud to say that in March 2018 I completed my Diploma qualification.
I am committed to my own professional development and regularly attend seminars to ensure I am up date with new techniques and practices. Additionally, I am pet first aid trained, a member of the British dog grooming association and Pet Industry Federation.

Louise has done a marvellous job on both of my show type cocker spaniels, both of which were in a bit of a state when I first took them to Dirty Paws. She is always friendly and very professional in her approach. I would definitely recommend Louise as a wonder woman dog groomer!
Louise has been grooming my cockapoo for several years now. She is very patient and reassuring to my dog who is rather anxious about being groomed. She does a fantastic job and I thoroughly recommend Dirty Paws.

I am very happy to recommend Louise as she has provided a 1st class service to Henry, an elderly wire fox terrier who has suffered with a very greasy coat all his life.He is now a lot more comfortable as his condition is now under better control with his regular baths.Thank you Louise.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Louise, she has a fantastic and very caring style with our Cockapoo - we have used Louise from her very first ‘Puppy’ groom and since then our dog has a lovely bond whenever she goes in for her 6 weekly groom. She looks great every time she comes back from her salon and to be honest I can’t see us ever using anyone else! Thank you Louise for the great job you do for us every time!!

Takes great care of my cockapoo. Very knowledgable about dogs in general and gives sound advice. Would definitely recommend.
In just two hours Louise transformed our Ewok (she really did look like one) back into a Border Terrier. Her skill and knowledge is second to none and we are very lucky to have Dirty Paws in our village.
I have gone to Louise with my Labradoodle since I moved here 3 years ago, she loves dogs and not only grooms them to perfection but also gives advice on health issues, I would not like anyone else to groom my Scooby, thank you Louise ❤️

I would highly recommend Louise. Great caring groomer who instills a sense of calm and knowledge. She has lovingly groomed my 15 year old Golden Retriever, my now 18 month old Golden from his first puppy groom and now our 8 month old Cockapoo from her first Puppy groom. All needing different care and grooming and all had no worries on entering the Salon and looked and smelt gorgeous on coming out! Her knowledge and care is very reassuring. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I would highly recommend Louise at Dirty Paws in Mayfield. She has been wonderful with my slightly anxious dog and has managed to clean his teeth without any issues. Louise does a much better job of nail clipping than my vet. Thank you Louise for all your care and patience
We have been taking our Sprocker - Floyd - to be clipped by Louise for nearly five years now and have been very happy with her professional, caring approach and the quality of the service provided. Plus, Louise is truly excellent with our slightly anxious dog who seems very happy to be left in her care. Many years ago I used to clip and exhibit Airedales at Crufts and would not hesitate to recommend Louise to anyone looking for a quality grooming service.
