Hi, I'm Lisa and trained in 2016 at the College of Animal Welfare.  My previous background was 25+ years in Corporate Event Management, so a complete change in career!

I own two Flat Coated Retrievers; love their energy, drive and personality and making me laugh on a daily basis.  My favourite dogs to groom are mini schnauzers as I love the different requirements to complete a Kennel Club breed standard groom along with wool coated breeds - poodles, doodles and all mix breeds.

I just love everything about dog grooming and the varied education to continually evolve. Seeing the development of the dogs in my care every time they come in is always great to note and observe.

I regularly attend seminars online and also subscribe to The Groomers Spotlight.  I have also completed a Pet First Aid course and I do a refresher every two years. 

My greatest industry achievement was passing my Level 3 diploma in 2019 - I find the pressure of exam situations daunting and overwhelming and completely get brain freeze, but I did it! I always strive to achieve to better myself everyday and be the best person I can be everyday.
