My names Katie, I trained in 2011 with mark at all breed dog grooming academy in Birmingham. Upon finishing my level 3 city and guild level 3 course I started my business (rascals of Woburn). The business was first located in Woburn sands for a short time whilst we grew out client base, we moving to Woburn in April 2012 where we are based now. Rascals came about after I spent two years working with an animal charity in Orlando, Florida. Upon coming home to the UK I really didn’t want to go back into my day job which was a marketing exec, so I trained in grooming. Little did I know how much I would fall in love with grooming. Rascals started off offering lots of service, grooming, day care, personalised and hand made boutique products for dogs. We now have a training academy also where we offer AIM (formerly OCN) qualifications, to people experienced or complete beginners to the industry. 

The team we have now at rascals 13 years later are absolute without a shadow of a doubt my family, we all care about the dogs we have in the salon as if they were our own. We also all care immensely about training up new groomers, not only to be the best groomers but also to be safe, caring and patient with the dogs they will be grooming. 

We offer one to one grooming session, the same groomer who starts your dog will groom through to the end. We have the dogs for 2.5-3 hours for each session, this gives us time to really care and res the dogs inbetween the grooming process. We aim to have perfection, and that takes time. 

We have zero time saving equipment in the salon, ie cage dryers. All our services are done by hand by a fully qualified groomer, whether that be hand stripping, clipping, drying, hand scissoring or emmi pet teeth cleaning. 

Each dog will have a up to date electronic record with us, we save all crucial information and ongoing grooming notes. This allows us to offer a personalised service to each dog, knowing exactly what they have and also their health concerns.

we really hope we offer a home from home service, that’s is exceptional and neat. No one should leave us feeling worried about leaving their dog in our care.
