About me

Hi my name is Jocelyn, I have been grooming dogs professionally since 2001 and always strive to give my furry clients and their humans the best service possible.

As soon as I attended my first seminar I was hooked on learning and improving my skills to keep up-to-date with dog grooming styling by attending courses, completing my City & Guilds L3 Diploma in 2006 and competing at national grooming competitions.

I also hold the Level 4 Licentiateship and Higher Diploma in Dog Grooming and am a member of the Guild of Master Groomers, of which there are only about 30 members in the UK.

Since 2010 I started training future groomers through my education work at various colleges and guiding them to achieve their qualifications.

During 2017-2022 I ran a very successful training academy at Happy Hounds of Didcot.

Our full range of services include: dog grooming, do-it-yourself wash, puppy pampers, senior club (split or shorter appointments), teeth maintenance and Emmi-pet cleaning, owner grooming courses, pet taxi and dog walking.

Working alongside me is Sarah who is qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma and has many years experience working with a pet rescue and adoption organisation in Texas, during which time she fostered more than 300 dogs.

    I have a lab and a very lively collie-cross, and they adore Jos. They get so excited when they realise I'm taking them! Jos's experience is obvious - how on earth she gets my pair to let her get on with the job is beyond my understanding! We live in the very muddy middle of nowhere and both dogs always come out astonishingly clean, shiny, and sweet-smelling. It's a pity it doesn't last long!

    Jos has been grooming my cockerpoo Freya since she was a very small puppy and took the time to gently introduce her to being handled and groomed on a regular basis. Freya loves visiting Jos and her team who are kind , caring and perfectionists !Freya always leaves looking stylish and smelling devine. What’s more, Jos makes healthy treats to take home and a stylish little bow is a lovely little surprise now and again. I would highly recommend Jos if you are lucky enough to live in her area.

    We recommend Jos to everybody we see with a dog, she has a way of making you feel like you dog is her #1 client and Oscar runs to the gate as soon as you tell him who he is going to see so the dogs must feel the same. Always give yourself an extra 10mins when you collect for a chat and the dogs never seem in a rush to leave

    Jos is incredible !! You could turn up in freezing cold or pouring rain but she greets you with a warming smile that reassures you that your dogs are in professional hands.Stan and Lola adore her and once they know they are of to jocelyns they go mad and once we arrive at jocelyns they usually are so excited they slip out of their collars but I don't have to worry cos they just go to jocelyns gate and sit there till I catch up with them !!!, I think that says it all I would have no hesitation in recommending Jocelyn to anyone she really is the best.
