2021 - Present; Mobile Veterinary Nurse 

2021 – Present Easton College; Dog Grooming Lecturer

Dog Grooming Lecturer Working as a Dog Grooming Lecturer at Easton College, I am responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment Level 2 and Level 3 dog grooming courses, to enable the learners to achieve the learning outcomes in our commercially run Dog Grooming Salon. 

2016 – 2021 Easton College; Canine Services Operations Manager

My role involves carrying out canine hydrotherapy sessions within a bespoke pool for a variety of health reasons including rehabilitation, weight management, fitness, fun and puppy enrichment. I run the on-site pet shop which involves customer care, stock ordering, stock rotating and maintenance. I also oversee the dog grooming parlour where I am responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining the equipment, and booking dogs in for the students to groom. I am responsible for work experience students to ensure they carry out a variety of tasks to get them ‘work ready’ for when they finish their course.

2019 – 2020 Easton and Otley College; Dog Grooming Lecturer

Working as a Dog Grooming Lecturer at Easton College (on a .2 contract), where I was responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment of a Level 2 dog grooming course, to enable the learners to achieve the learning outcomes in our commercially run Dog Grooming Salon.

2010 – 2016 Westover Veterinary Centre LTD; Registered Veterinary Nurse

I undertook my Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma at Westover Veterinary Centre, in which I completed the full-time course whilst gaining experience within the veterinary industry. Since qualifying I have kept my CPD record up to date while completing more than the recommended 15 hours per year. I also attended national Veterinary Nursing events where I represented Westover Veterinary Centre and gave feedback of any learning to my colleagues.

2005 – 2010 Chapelfield Veterinary Centre; Auxiliary Veterinary Nurse

I gained a vast amount of experience at this veterinary establishment as an auxiliary nurse. I was taught practically and learnt how to perform anaesthetics, hygiene control, re-stocking, dispensing medications, patient care and a great deal more. I learnt quickly and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Chapelfield Veterinary Centre. I was keen to accelerate my career to become a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and as a result secured training with Easton College and moved to Westover Veterinary Centre where I completed my Veterinary Nurse course.
