Hi, my name is Hazel and I am based in East Lothian.

I started training in 2016 with Master Groomer Agnes Murphy at Scotgroom. I achieved my Level 3 City and Guilds and I set up my business in 2017. 

Over the first year of grooming I found that not all dogs are happy with the grooming process. I found that some dogs are sensitive, anxious, nervous or they may carry tension in the body. When dogs come for grooming I take extra time and observe the dog. I look for coat patterns/change, skin changes, how the dog carries itself and does it look balanced.

As I have a reactive dog myself I was looking for ways to help her emotionally, physically, mentally and being more balanced and its was through this, that led me to the various courses I have completed.

 In 2018 I attended the IMDT Career as Dog Trainer. Then in 2019 I attended my first TTouch Workshop and from there I built on my TTouch skills. I have attended workshops and online courses  with Linda Tellington Jones, Robyn Hood, Tina Constance, Toni Shelbourne, Lindy Dekker, Kathy Cascade and Nicki Lukka. Courses that I completed are TTouch for Puppies, Dogs with Challenging Behaviour, Aging Dogs and End of Life. I am a Tellington TTouch Practioner P1 and I am certified to work with individual client, give lectures and demonstrations, and teach 1 day hands on workshops.

To add to my CPD, I have completed courses with  Xtra Dog; TTouch Observations and Canine Body Language, Sleuth Dog, Reactive Rascals, Canine Body Language. Sue Williamson Taking the Grrr Out of Dog Grooming Approved Groomer. Sarah Fisher ACE Module 1,2 and 3  and I am a Reiki 2 Practitioner.

In January 2026 I completed The Royal Kennel Club's JEP Level 1 and 2 and I judge all 4 varieties of Belgian Shepherds
