Hi, My name is Hazel, I have been grooming for 5 years now.

I trained at the Ayrshire Academy Of Canine Beauticians And Indognito@DogandBone Grooming.

I am owned by Betty a Lakeland Terrier and Rollo a Staffie cross.

My favourite dog to groom is an Airedale Terrier. My Airedale Murphy who I lost in 2019 at 11 years old was the dog behind the Muddy Paws logo.

I am passionate about grooming, education and lifelong learning.

I regularly attend seminars. I subscribe to the Trainee Dog Groomers, Scottish Dog Groomers, Professional Groomers Scotland, English Groomers Group, Grouchy Groomers and Groomers uplifting Groomers.

I have completed a Canine First Aid course.

My greatest industry achievement to date is Completing the iPET Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.

I have also completed City & Guilds Level 3 Introduction to Dog Grooming.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University. Before becoming a Dog Groomer I worked with NHS Scotland as a Podiatrist / Chiropodist for 20 years.

It was perhaps only natural then that I would develop an interest in the nail care of dogs and how nail length can have a detrimental effect on their balance and posture.

I am happy to modify any of our grooming services to suit dogs with additional needs, elderly dogs and nervous dogs.

I am qualified in Level 2 Animal Reiki and Tellington Touch and incorprate these methods into each groom to provide each dog with reassurance and comfort.

I use relaxing aromatherapy shampoos and sprays for anxious dogs.

I also offer Snuffle Mats and puzzle games for your dog on arrival to help them settle into their surroundings.

I am happy to offer a meet and greet session for you to come along and view our premises, meet your dog and discuss your grooming requirements.

I also offer a Collection and Delivery service.
