About me

I began my career in dog grooming six years ago, after always having a strong love for animals at a young age. I have a lot of experience working with a large variety of breeds in different styles and using different techniques. I worked in a large corporate company which taught me a wealth of knowledge within the industry, before taking the plunge and going into working for an independent company called The Pet Retreat. After a year, I was offered a Franchise opportunity within the company which I now run in Knutsford, Cheshire. I absolutely love it, my customers and their dogs are just awesome.

I am also a cat groomer! Which isn't to every groomers taste nor for the faint hearted, but I just love it.

I find it extremely important to become the best I can at what I love doing! Because of this, I hold a level 3 City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma in dog grooming. I also believe that we never stop learning, so I enjoy attending competitions and seminars around the country.

I really enjoy poodles and any dog with a coat i can get my scissors into. I adore cross breed styling and basically making any type of dog look super cute to suit their own personality. I try to step away from the norm and create something with more flare! I love creating a bond with every dog that comes into my care, and putting them at ease it very important to me.

In 2016 I entered my first dog grooming competition, placing 2nd in my class with a lovely Bichon X Lhasa called Marley. I caught the competition bug from there and have since placed 1st at Premier groom, 1st in the Advanced class at British dog grooming championships and 3rd place at The grooming show 2017 at Champion level.
