Bracco Italiano

Breed History / Description

This Italian HPR breed was known in its native country as the Italian Pointer. His origins, like many of the Braque Breeds of Continental Europe might be based on the combination of hounds and gundogs. The Bracco Italiano shares some physical similarities with the Spinone but his coat is short, glossy and elastic. His stylish movement has brought him popularity and success in the show ring since his arrival into the UK in the 1990s.
