About me

Hi, My name is Belinda, I have been in the dog grooming for over 18 years I trained initially at work in a small independent salon in southern Ireland where I gained my level 2 city and guilds dog grooming qualification. I then moved back to the UK to work for a large corporate company where I gained my level 3 city and guilds dog grooming qualification.

It didn't stop there. I then embarked on the Higher diploma where I became a member of the guild of master groomers and gained a level 4 qualification. This led me to go on to gain teaching and assessing qualifications. Enabling me to become a teacher. I now have over 9 years teaching experience and have gone on to complete full teaching diploma.

I am passionate about dog grooming and education and attend regular seminars and dog grooming events to keep my knowledge current. I have taught dog grooming in colleges and independent schools and for me there is no better career. Passing on knowledge and helping other prospective dog groomers to reach their goals.

I have recently moved back to my home county of Herefordshire, which has bought about the opportunity to open my own dog grooming school in the market town of Ledbury, in conjunction with the Four Paws group. This is something I have wanted for a few years. It is so nice to be home again. I have now been open over 3 years and have had the most amazing students. I truly feel like the luckiest person in the world to have met so many like-minded people and help then start a new career in dog grooming.

I own a Miniature Poodle and two Jack Russell's. I've always wanted Lots of dogs and must say my favourite dogs to groom are Terriers.

I have recently taken part in a dog grooming competition. Premier Groom and wone 1st place in the open hand strip category with a Dandie Dinmont terrier. Hopefully I will go on to do further competitions in the future.
