Arley Darlins Mobile Dog Grooming

West Midlands

About me

My name is Cheryl, I had always worked in the motor trade, from Parts Delivery Driver, Parts Technician to Transport Manager, moving into the Accounts Sector, and Payroll, before I starting grooming 4.5 years ago, which I did primarily to learn how to groom my own beautiful English Springer Spaniel, who is my inspiration.  Which I still own along with a working Cocker Spaniel, a Min Schnauzer x JR and a Standard Poodle.  They are all my pride and joy.  I started out grooming by completing an online course, then attending an exceptional training salon to gain valuable hands on experience.  Where I eventually complete my C & G Level 3 Diploma.

That's when i started my mobile grooming business, which i named after my late Springer Spaniel Arley Darlin, who we sadly lost after a short illness at the age of 5.5 yrs.  Arley Darlins Mobile Dog Grooming has gone from strength to strength, and I continue my professional development by attending seminars and training days, also attending and competing in competitions, where possible. At my second competition, which was Mastergroom in 2018, I was very proud to receive a second place with a dog which I'd never groomed before.

Arley Darlins Mobile Dog Grooming likes to groom a dog with a job, mainly Gundogs and Terriers, I love the nature of these breeds, gundogs being mostly amicable by nature and terriers with their natural instincts, all breeds of dog need to be respected for what they were originally bred to do, ie, retrieve, hunt, pest control.

I am fully Qualified to C & G Level 3 Diploma, I hold an up to date Certificate in Pet First Aid.  I am a Reiki Practitioner and have also completed a TTouch Training Course, all of which helps with nervous and timid dogs. Reiki and TTouch are both hands-on non invasive ways to treat and calm dogs, both can have a very relaxing effect on nervous dogs. I used to do a large Labrador, who was frightened to get into the van, he used to tremble and growl at the owner when he was trying to get the dog in.  However, after a few sessions of Reiki, he became much more relaxed and used to fall asleep in the bath and relax, while being dried, allowing him to enjoy the experience.  Having a first aid qualification, which is updated every couple of years has enabled me to detect some health issues with customers dogs, which had previously gone un-noticed.

I have had dogs of my own since a very small child, I treat all dogs with care and compassion as I would like my own treated at a groomers.  I believe creating an enjoyable experience in the salon makes life easier for dogs, owners and groomer.  I carry out both pet and breed standard trims.  I can advise on suitable styles  for your and your dogs lifestyles, to enable you both to cope with, without the need to worry about them getting into a welfare state. I can advise correct grooming periods ie: 4/6/8/10 or 12 weekly intervals, and also the correct tools for you to use safely at home, thus keeping your dog in a much better condition, more owner/dog bonding and a happier relationship.

My mobile grooming van, is kept immaculately clean and tidy, health and safety being a top priority, i use top quality natural shampoos, have all up to date equipment, so you can be assured of the best possible service for your beloved pooch.  I work on a one to one basis, and every dog is treated with the care, love and respect, I’d expect for my own dogs.
