About me

Hi, my name is Pauline, and I have been grooming for 4+ years. I started grooming soon after adopting my first rescue dog Bette, a Westie.

I trained at Writtle University College in Essex where I completed my City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming while working in a small salon in Suffolk.

I now own 4 dogs, a Staffy, West Highland Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer and a Bichon Frise. I've always wanted a Lhasa Apso, a Shih Tzu, and a Poodle!!

I love grooming all dogs!

I am passionate about grooming and education and regularly attend seminars and webinars. I am also a fan of Asian Fusion Styling.

I subscribe to many grooming and dog related groups on social media and like to keep upto date with what is going on in the industry and am a member of the British Isles Grooming Association.

I have completed a Pet First Aid course and keep this regularly updated.

My greatest industry achievement is completing my Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma and opening my own salon.

Pauline is so good with our puppy Gizmo she’s a Havanese and Pauline has groomed her twice and she always comes out happy and so pretty. Every time we walk past the shop Gizmo wants to go in! Pauline has give Gizmo so much confidence Thank you

Excellent service from start to finish once booked confirmation is received and day before appointment a reminder is sent which is great for someone like me! My little dog is quite nervous after visiting a previous groomer, but I'm glad to say Pauline has reassured her and she seems to enjoy her visit to the shop. She smells lovely when she comes out and her cut is exactly what I wanted. I have recommended Pauline to my friends on what an excellent service Pauline provides.

I would definitely recommend Harbor Hounds to any dog owner. Pauline is so friendly. She was amazing with my bitey puppy Bertie and he came back looking the bees knees and smelling much better!
